The Woman Behind the Desk

Noted for her trendy, colorful, free spirited lifestyle Keona has taken the nail industry by storm.

Marrying her eclectic boldness with straight lines and small detail, she’s created the complex simplicity she likes to call a Haute Mess.

Häutefashionably elegant or high-class; combined with edgy, trendy free hand art derives the ABRIDGMENT of Haute Mess.

Keona is a tenured nail technician, that has recently returned to the business. Upon opening her own salon this year, she is currently looking to expand and rebuild relationships with her #HAUTIES beyond the nail table.

Born and raised in the heart of Kansas City, she strongly believes that there is a market in this town that we need to take back, and recognizes the strong need to get our nails back to health.

Taught early on by her instructor Brenda Fadell at Transformed Barber and Cosmetology Academy,

“Our nails are not tools, but a mirror to good health”,

Keona’s goal is to not only adorn, accessorize, and glamorize nails; her main concern is revitalizing and maintaining healthy nails.

After over 15 years in Corporate America, Keona realized that it merely hindered her creativity. Nails has evolved so much since Keona first started doing nails in 2009 with gel polish, press on nails, and Russian Manicures being the latest trend.

Always being a lover of polish and her innate ability to find/create art out of anything, she decided to pick up her passion and start polishing again.

Creating a blissful matrimony between nails and free hand art, she prides herself in the individuality and originality of her work. No two people will leave with the same design.

While visiting Haute Mess you are not just receiving a service, yet an experience.

Haute Mess is a haven where imagination falls in love with creation.

Keona has cultivated an environment that is posh and trendy. A non-toxic, luxe atmosphere where a #HAUTIE indulges in liberation and pampering for both cosmetic and therapeutic purposes.

With sanitation being one of our top priorities a #HAUTIE can relax, trusting our confidence and commitment to sanitation. We strictly implement the sanitation guidelines of Missouri Board of Cosmetology, along with standard hygiene procedures.

"A man’s gift makes room for him and brings him before great men". Proverbs 18:16

Keona is humbled and honored, knowing it’s nothing but a blessing to have such a wonderful gift that has formed wonderful business relationships as well as personal friendships. She is confident that God’s work will continue to manifest through her.

LET'S WORK TOGETHER!

“The artist is nothing without the gift, but the gift is nothing without the work.”
